Marilyn's Restaurants opened our doors in the Spring of 1986 and were such a great success for over 18 years. My parents were up at 5:am and home by 1:am making sure everything was just perfect for their customers. They had the most amazing following, you could have thought most of our customers were family by the time they left. Their employees and customers thought of them as family. Marilyns was a tradition in Phoenix or the surrounding area. I have customers come up to me in the stores telling me how they loved Marilyn's and wished it was here for their children.
Now that you know how special my parents were in the success of the restaurant, I can tell you how great the food was. My mom, Marilyn, would work in the kitchen for hours creating dishes you could only find at Marilyn's. Like our Spinchada, Grilled and Marinated Fish Tacos, Rotisserie Chicken Wraps, Vegiladad, Pescado Veracruz, Rellenos, Tamales and Fajitas are just a few of the dishes our customers are still reminding me about on how much they miss them.
I am so proud of my parents for all of their hard work and especially for building a Mexican Restaurant in such a saturated Mexican Marketplace.
Now, you can get the great tastes of Marilyn's in your neighborhood grocery store. We currently offer five types of all natural tortilla chips: White Corn; Blue Corn; Red Chile; Fiesta (a combination of the three); and Jalapeno Lime. We also have four types of salsa: Mild; Mild Black Bean & Corn; Hot; and Chipotle Black Bean & Corn. Marilyn's is also pleased to announce the arrival of our Organic Line of snack foods: Organic White Corn Tortilla Chips; Organic Blue Corn Tortilla Chips with Flax Seed; Organic White Cheddar Popcorn; and Organic White Cheddar Cheese Puffs.
